Tent cities have been established to provide enhanced facilities for Kanwarias during the Shravani Mela 2025. These temporary accommodations are designed to offer devotees a comfortable experience akin to their homes. Arrangements have been made along the Deoghar-Sultanganj route for Kanwarias arriving by vehicle. Tent cities constructed at Kothia and Baghmara offer modern amenities for pilgrims.
These tent cities are equipped with home-like comforts, including beds for rest, along with bathing facilities, toilets, medical assistance, information centers, and adequate lighting, addressing all essential needs. The Kothia stand tent city has provisions for one thousand devotees, with bed arrangements and fans. Additionally, 44 toilets and bathing areas have been set up near the Kothia tent city.
At Baghmara tent city, toilet and bathing facilities are available. It also provides beds and other amenities for a thousand devotees. The entire campus is well-lit. Both Baghmara and Kothia tent cities have medical camps and information centers. Parking facilities for vehicles are also available near the Kothia tent city.
Security measures include the deployment of police forces and the establishment of information dissemination centers near the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. Police camps and information centers have been set up. Regular police patrolling is planned for these areas to ensure security.
Traffic arrangements are also in place. Traffic management is being set up to direct vehicles from the Kothia and Paritran bus stands towards Hansdiha via the Rikhiya and Mohanpur routes. Information will be provided to devotees traveling in vehicles. CCTV cameras and AI will be used to manage crowd safety during the mela. Approximately 150 CCTV cameras are being installed along the Kanwaria Path.
Information centers are being set up at approximately half a dozen locations along the Kanwaria Path, in addition to the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. These centers, managed by the tourism department, will provide information about religious and tourist sites in Deoghar and the broader Jharkhand region. Facilities for devotees to sit will also be available.
Devotees from various states visiting Deoghar will receive information about religious and tourist attractions such as Basukinath, Mata Bhadrakali, Netarhat, Rajrappa Maa Chinnamasta Temple, and the Devdi Temple, among others. The tourism information center will display images and digital videos of all religious and tourist sites in Jharkhand. Information regarding accessibility and transportation will be provided by staff. The tourism department is preparing these information centers.
