The 9th convocation ceremony of Sidhu Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU) was successfully held on Monday at the convention center in Dumka. The event was presided over by the Honorable Governor of Jharkhand and Chancellor, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, who personally presented gold medals and degrees to outstanding students. A total of 78 students were honored with gold medals, while 37 PhD scholars received their doctoral degrees. Furthermore, degrees were conferred in absentia to 33,697 students who successfully completed various examinations.
Tripti Shobha Marandi was recognized as the Best Graduate for her exceptional academic achievements. A student of the Mathematics department at St. Xavier’s College, Maharo, Marandi (UG session 2021-24) secured the highest marks. The ceremony also showcased a vibrant cultural display, with attendees often seen in traditional Indian attire, adding a colorful dimension to the prestigious event.
