In response to student protests over the past two days, St. Xavier’s College management has issued a strong assurance that student welfare is their top priority. The college administration is committed to protecting the interests of its students. Following discussions and internal reviews, it has been announced that students facing promotion setbacks will be granted an additional opportunity to advance, in accordance with established regulations.
The college management also addressed concerns regarding misinformation, stating that certain individuals intentionally spread false narratives to tarnish the institution’s reputation. This included exaggerating the number of students affected by promotion issues.
Furthermore, it was clarified that the Principal and Vice-Principal were out of state on pre-scheduled engagements, which was misrepresented as an unwillingness to meet with students. St. Xavier’s College has consistently placed student interests above all else and will continue to uphold this principle.
The management encourages students to engage directly with faculty members to resolve any academic or administrative issues. For years, the college has provided multiple communication channels to ensure effective dialogue and prevent student interests from being overlooked.
