Sarla Birla University’s Mental Health Club recently organized an insightful interactive counseling session on “Stress Management and Emotional Wellbeing.” Held in the university auditorium, the event aimed to foster greater awareness of mental health issues among students and provide guidance on maintaining emotional balance in life.
The primary speaker, Ms. Tanushree Sengupta, a senior counselor from Army Public School, Ranchi, shared her extensive experience. She enlightened students on various facets of mental health, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence. Ms. Sengupta offered practical advice on adopting a problem-solving approach to life’s challenges, building self-esteem, fostering emotional security, enhancing self-awareness, understanding societal dynamics, self-management, and relationship management.
The session was made engaging through inspiring videos and interactive activities, ensuring a dynamic learning experience. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Neelima Pathak, Dean of the Faculty of Yogic Sciences & Naturopathy and President of the Mental Health Club. She extended “World Students Day” wishes and emphasized the university’s commitment to the holistic development of its students.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Priyanka Pandey, the club’s coordinator, who expressed gratitude to Ms. Sengupta for delivering such an impactful session at Sarla Birla University. Other faculty members, including Dr. Nandini Sinha (Treasurer) and Ms. Anjana Kumari Singh and Ms. Neha Nupur, were present. University officials, including Pro-Chancellor Bijoy Kumar Dalan, Director General Prof. Gopal Pathak, Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Jagannathan, and Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Pradeep Kumar Verma, conveyed their appreciation for the event’s organization.
