The officials informed the Chief Minister that an important meeting of the 16th Finance Commission team is proposed to be held with all the ministers and officials of the state government in Ranchi on May 30, in this meeting, information will be taken on the financial condition of the state, management, details of spending the grant amount, use of central assistance amount and many other subjects. The state government has made full preparations related to the curiosity of the 16th Finance Commission team. Full information about the developmental work being done by the state government in the field of social and economic empowerment will also be given to the Finance Commission. Irrigation water storage in the state for agricultural work, quality education among students, providing better health facilities to the general public, infrastructure, promotion in the field of tourism will be the priority of the state government before the Finance Commission team. For this purpose, the output of all sectors will be presented through PPT. In the meeting, the state government will submit a memorandum to the team of the 16th Finance Commission.
The Chief Minister told the officials to present the roadmap of the development of the state before the team of the Finance Commission. The Chief Minister told the officials that our government is constantly moving forward with the objective of accelerating the pace of development in urban and rural areas within the state. The Chief Minister told the officials that there are many such sectors in the state, on which more focus is required. The Chief Minister said that the recommendation of the state government before the Finance Commission should be such that the all-round development of people of all classes and communities can be ensured. The Chief Minister gave necessary guidelines to the officials regarding placing some important issues on behalf of the state government before the Finance Commission.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that on May 29, the team of the 16th Finance Commission will be on a tour of Deoghar, where after offering prayers at Baba Baidyanath Dham temple, it will hold a meeting with the divisional level local body (urban and rural body) representatives. On May 30, the Finance Commission will meet representatives of local bodies, trade industry and Chamber of Commerce in Ranchi. After this, an important meeting has been called with all the ministers and officials of the state government. Many important topics including the financial condition, economic and social condition of the state will be discussed in this meeting. On May 30 itself, the Finance Commission team will also talk to the representatives of the major political parties of Jharkhand. The Finance Commission team will leave for Delhi from Ranchi on May 31.
Finance Minister Shri Radha Krishna Kishore, Chief Secretary Smt. Alka Tiwari, Secretary of Finance Department Shri Prashant Kumar, Special Secretary Finance Department Smt. B. Rajeshwari and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
