A young man posted a video on social media threatening to bomb Ministers Sudivya Kumar and Dr. Irfan Ansari. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
In the video, a man identified as Ankit Kumar Mishra, a resident of Giridih, stated that he would bomb the two ministers within 24 hours. He claimed that he was threatened with religious conversion and was also involved in a land dispute. He alleged that he was assaulted by a group of people and a pistol was put in his mouth. Mishra demanded an apology from those involved in the assault, warning of consequences if they did not comply. He also claimed to have connections with a major gangster.
The video also mentioned Jamui, Bihar, and that the individual was present at an NDA conference. Mishra said his family was not supporting him, and he had written a statement stating that his family members have nothing to do with the incident. He repeatedly vowed to find peace only after bombing the ministers.
Giridih Police has taken note of the post and is conducting an investigation. Mufassil Police Station In-charge, Inspector Shyam Kishore Mahto, confirmed the receipt of the video and said they are searching for the individual. The location of the man is traced to Bihar.
Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, upon reaching Koderma, expressed his unawareness of the matter. He said he received information about the threatening video from well-wishers. He stated that he did not have much information about the video and that it is the police’s responsibility to verify the authenticity of the video. Minister Kumar also suggested that the video could be fake or created through AI, warranting further investigation.
