Three Girls Lured in Jharkhand: Two Sisters Assaulted, Third Survives

Jharkhand police are investigating a grave crime against minors after two sisters were gangraped in the Khunti district. The incident came to light when a group of young men allegedly decoyed three underage girls by promising them a birthday party and a recreational trip.

The minors boarded motorbikes and scooters driven by the suspects and were transported to a village situated within the Maranghadah territorial reach. Initially, the group reportedly enjoyed a meal together before moving forward with their malicious intent.

The perpetrators then led the three girls to a desolate location. There, all four men allegedly participated in the brutal gang rape of the two sisters. The third girl, amidst the terrifying circumstances, managed to slip away from the attackers.

She immediately navigated her way back to her locality and shared the distressing account with her family. Alarmed by the disclosure, her relatives swiftly approached the Murhu police to file a formal report.

Law enforcement agencies treated the matter with extreme urgency. The Khunti Women Police Station registered a case under the stringent clauses of the POCSO Act and other relevant criminal statutes. An on-ground investigation was promptly initiated.

Over the course of the operation, authorities successfully identified and detained three key suspects. They have been named as Gopal Mundah alias Rahul, Manish Lohera, and Mansa. Police are currently conducting round-the-clock interrogations to extract full confessions.

A manhunt remains active for the fourth accused, who has not yet been traced. Meanwhile, the two minor victims are undergoing thorough medical examinations to ascertain their health status and preserve forensic evidence.

Investigators are meticulously analyzing every detail of the case to reconstruct the timeline, identify accomplices, and determine how the perpetrators orchestrated the abduction and subsequent assault.
