A delegation from the Jharkhand Adivasi Sarna Vikas Samiti met with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Raj Bhavan. During the meeting, the committee presented a memorandum detailing concerns about illegal religious conversion activities. The memorandum specifically highlighted a tent setup by the Jharkhand Mahabhishek Church in Chand village, Tupu-dana police station, which has been operating for a year without local or district administration approval. The group claims the church is falsely advertising that prayers to Jesus can cure severe illnesses like blindness, lameness, deafness, muteness, and diseases such as AIDS and epidemics. The committee alleges that under the guise of these healing claims, secret religious conversions are being carried out.
