In Ranchi, the Punjabi Hindu Biradari commemorated the 97th death anniversary of the revered nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai, famously known as ‘Punjab Kesari’. A heartfelt tribute ceremony was held at Lala Lajpat Rai Chowk on Mahatma Gandhi Marg, where members of the community gathered to honor the iconic figure. The event saw attendees place garlands and offer floral tributes at the statue of Rai. During the proceedings, Arun Chawla shared insights into Lala Lajpat Rai’s inspiring life, his unwavering patriotism, and his ultimate sacrifice for the nation. Chawla also led attendees in a pledge to uphold the principles and ideals championed by Rai. Chants of ‘Lala Lajpat Rai Amar Rahein’ (Long live Lala Lajpat Rai) and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ (Victory to Mother India) filled the air, underscoring the deep respect and admiration for the freedom fighter. Prominent community members, including President Sudhir Uggal, Rajesh Mehra, Mukul Taneja, Rajesh Khanna, Arun Chawla, Ravi Parashar, Rahul Seth, and Harjit Jaggi, were present to pay their respects.
