Two Arrests Made as Operation Safaya Targets Illegal Weapon Trade in Palamu

In a separate operation in Lesliganj, police were alerted that a newly built house in Sahad village was being used for drug consumption. When the team arrived, two youths fled, but Rahul Kumar Bhuian and Prince Kumar were arrested. A bike without a number plate was found in their possession. Interrogation revealed that the motorcycle had been stolen two months earlier from Medininagar by residents of Akhauri Patra, Kuldeep Bhuian and Jitendra Bhuian, and was being hidden for resale. Mobile phones seized from the accused displayed images of illegal weapons, prompting a further raid that recovered a loaded homemade stick. Both arrested men have been charged with theft and violations of the Arms Act and are in judicial custody pending court orders.
