Unchecked Gunfire Strikes Bokaro Residence, Police Launch Probe

In a shocking incident on Thursday night, a residential house in the DVC Colony’s West Palli sector, under Chandrapura police jurisdiction, was stormed by unidentified gunmen who unleashed a hail of bullets.

The firing claimed the lives of 65‑year‑old Nilesh Singh and his wife, while their son Rohit Singh suffered severe injuries and is currently under intensive care.

Neighbors who heard the gunshots called the police, leading to a rapid deployment of officers and a cordon around the scene. The disturbance has left the community on edge, demanding swift justice.

Investigators have ordered a thorough forensic sweep, collecting trajectory data, cartridge cases and blood stains. CCTV recordings from the housing complex and surrounding streets are being examined to trace the suspects and reconstruct the timeline.

No motive has been announced at this stage. Law enforcement officials emphasized that the investigation will focus on establishing the identity of the perpetrators and any possible links to prior incidents in the region.
