'Vidhi Portal 2.0' Launched: Digital Management of Government Litigations to Gain New Momentum in Jharkhand

Ranchi | The Jharkhand government has taken a significant step towards the comprehensive and effective digital management of government legal cases by launching the 'Vidhi Portal 2.0'. Advocate General Rohitasya Roy inaugurated the portal at a ceremony held in the conference hall of the Jharkhand High Court. On this occasion, Secretary IT Mrs. Pooja Singhal, Secretary, Law Department Mr. Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, Senior AAG Mr. Achyut Keshav, and senior officials from various departments were present. Developed under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, 'Vidhi Portal 2.0' is considered a major achievement in the state's digital governance journey. This portal will help in making the management of government litigations more transparent, efficient, and accountable through modern technology. The new portal has integrated various departments, the Law Department, the Advocate General's office, and government advocates onto a unified digital platform. It offers features like real-time monitoring, automated alerts, smart workflows, and advanced analytics, which will ensure timely decisions and effective advocacy. More than 20 new features have been added in this version of the portal. These include integration with the e-Courts system, smart cause lists, daily-weekly case digests, executive dashboards, centralized notice management, and a mobile app. Furthermore, there are plans to include Artificial Intelligence-based legal analysis in the future. Advocate General Rohitasya Roy stated that this portal will play a crucial role in better management of litigations in the state and ensuring effective advocacy in the courts. Secretary Pooja Singhal described it as an important step towards a technology-based transparent governance system. Phased training will also be provided to officials and users of all departments for the successful implementation of the portal, so that its features can be maximally utilized.
