Western and Central India Brace for Showers and Gusty Winds

States such as Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, and large parts of Rajasthan—including Dausa, Jhalawar, Kota, Ajmer, Tonk, Hanumangarh, Churu, Bikaner, Barmer, Karauli, Jodhpur and Jhunjhunu—are under alert for heavy rain and strong winds. Central Indian districts in Madhya Pradesh continue to experience rain‑storm cycles, while the Konkan coast and Goa are expected to see intermittent showers until September 10. Scattered rain is also forecast for Gujarat, parts of Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra and Kutch.
