A woman residing in Harmu Housing Colony has filed a case at Argora Police Station against Dumri MLA Jairam Mahato and two others, alleging defamation, insult, and other charges on social media. The case involves Uttam Kumar Mahto and Bittu Singh, both accused alongside Jairam. The woman informed the police that a YouTube channel associated with the JLKM party used obscene language and abusive content against her. YouTuber Bittu Singh made a video specifically mentioning the woman’s name. She alleges that Uttam Kumar Mahto, the YouTuber, is also an associate of MLA Jairam Mahato, and that the video was made at his behest. The woman further claims that Jairam Mahato had previously pressured her to withdraw a case and that, due to her refusal, she is being humiliated in society.
