In a shocking incident in Ranchi, Jharkhand, a young woman was attacked with petrol inside her home. The assailant entered the house and doused the victim with the flammable liquid before setting her ablaze. Initial confusion arose among family members who believed acid was used in the assault. However, medical examination revealed that petrol had been thrown on the victim, causing burns and irritation, particularly to her eyes. The incident occurred in the Tender Gram area under the Kanke police station. The 21-year-old victim was resting at home when the attack took place. She was rushed to a private eye hospital where doctors are providing treatment. The Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, has directed the police to investigate the matter and ensure the arrest of the perpetrator. He also instructed authorities to provide the victim with the best possible medical care.
