Police have made shocking revelations in the murder case of a woman in Ranchi, Jharkhand, who had been in an illicit relationship with a man for 15 years, similar to a husband and wife. Danish Qureshi, the alleged lover of the deceased woman, and his associate, Mohammad Saud Qazi, have been arrested. Danish is a resident of Ranchi, while Saud Qazi hails from the Jhalda police station area of West Bengal. Police have also seized a black Scorpio car used in the murder.
The woman was murdered on August 24th in Ulidih, under the Tamar police station area of Ranchi. The accused planned the murder and ran over the body with a car to make it appear as a road accident.
On August 25th, a written complaint was filed by Kareena Devi at the Tamar police station in Ranchi. She reported that her mother, who resided in the Lower Bazaar area, had been living with a man named Naseem Qureshi as if they were married for the past 15 years after the death of her father. They had a daughter and three sons. The mother had gone to Naseem Qureshi’s house on August 24th but never returned, and her mobile phone was switched off.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Rural SP of Ranchi, Praveen Pushkar, formed a team led by Bundu DSP under the direction of the Ranchi SSP. The team, including the Tamar police station in-charge and other police personnel, investigated the case using various technical aspects. Based on suspicion, Danish Qureshi, the son of the deceased woman’s lover Naseem Qureshi, and his associate Mohammad Saud Qazi, were taken into custody. During intense questioning, both accused confessed to their crime.
The accused revealed during interrogation that the deceased woman had an illicit relationship with his father, Naseem Qureshi, for the past 15 years. The deceased woman frequently visited his father, Naseem Qureshi, to obtain money, which caused distress to the entire family. Danish Qureshi, along with his mother, Sayar Khatoon, and father, Naseem Qureshi, conspired to eliminate the woman. On August 18th, his father, Naseem Qureshi, along with his mother and brother, went for Hajj.
On August 24th, as usual, the woman went to their house to ask for money. Promising to give her money, Danish Qureshi and his associate Mohammad Saud Qazi took the woman in their black Scorpio car, took her to Tatisilve, and forcibly gave her alcohol. After making her drunk, they took her to a secluded place and strangled her to death. They then dumped her body on the road. They also ran over the woman’s body with the car to make the crime look like an accident.
