J&K Government Approves Compensation for Victims of Recent Terror Attacks

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has authorized a grace amount of fifteen lakh rupees each for the families of two non‑resident victims killed in recent terror incidents. One victim, a migrant worker from Chhattisgarh named Deepak, succumbed to gunshot wounds at the Government Medical College Hospital in Anantnag. The second, Bopinder, was hospitalized in critical condition before passing away at Sher‑e‑Kashmir Ayurvedic Institute on August 1. The compensation decision was taken after a unanimous outcry from political, religious, and civil groups.
