BJP MP Kangana Ranaut expressed her strong reaction to the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case involving Raja Raghuvanshi, taking to Instagram to share her views. She labeled the situation as ‘absurd,’ questioning the accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s actions. Kangana stated, “How absurd is this!! Woman can’t say no to marriage because she is scared of her own parents but she can plan a cold-blooded murder with supari killers.” She added that the case had been on her mind, and that the ‘dumbness’ of Sonam Raghuvanshi was a key factor. She wrote, “Dumb people should never be taken lightly. They are the biggest threat to any society….Be aware very aware of dumbness around you.”
Sonam is the primary suspect in the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, whose body was recovered near the Weisawdong waterfalls. After disappearing, she was apprehended in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and subsequently arrested. Four other suspects, Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Raj Singh Kushwaha, and Anand, were also arrested. Sonam’s father has denied the allegations and called for a CBI investigation. Sonam was presented before a local court in Ghazipur for transit remand.
