Counterintelligence Kashmir (CIK) has intensified its crackdown on terror networks by conducting extensive searches within Central Jail Srinagar and District Jail Kupwara. This operation, carried out in collaboration with jail authorities, is a critical component of an ongoing investigation into terror-related activities and aims to dismantle existing terror modules. The primary objectives include identifying terrorist associates, often referred to as overground workers, and crucially, preventing the illicit use of digital communication devices within jail premises. Authorities are also focused on uncovering potential connections with terror handlers operating from across the border, highlighting the pervasive threat from external forces.
