Following an Israeli airstrike on the Hujat Dost Ali Hostel in Tehran, three Kashmiri students sustained minor injuries. The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) confirmed the incident, reporting that although the injuries are not serious, the students are deeply traumatized. The students have been moved to a safer location north of Tehran. Families back in Kashmir are voicing their concerns and appealing to the Indian government for immediate intervention, with some parents protesting in Srinagar to demand the swift evacuation of their children. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has contacted External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to discuss the safety of Kashmiri students in Iran, who number over 1,500. The situation remains critical as authorities work to ensure the safety of the students amidst escalating regional tensions.
