Bihar Police achieved a significant breakthrough. Acting swiftly, Gaya Police rescued a kidnapped youth within six hours of registering a First Information Report (FIR) related to a ransom demand. According to the FIR, a written application was received on August 6th, stating that the youth was on his way to Gangti Bazaar when he was abducted by criminals near Baghiya Mor, Imamganj, around 3 PM. A ransom of 8 lakh rupees was demanded.
An FIR, bearing Case No. 239/25, dated 06.08.2025, was registered at Imamganj Police Station, and an investigation was initiated. A team led by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, immediately arrested the criminals involved and successfully rescued the abducted person.
Technical Branch, Gaya, Takes Prompt Action
Notably, a special team was formed under the guidance of the City Superintendent of Police, Gaya, and the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Imamganj. The team included the Station House Officers (SHOs) of Imamganj, Chakrabandha, Magra, and Bhadwar police stations, along with other police officers/personnel from Imamganj police station and police officers/personnel from the technical branch, Gaya.
To arrest the criminals, the special team conducted special technical investigations, identified potential hideouts, and conducted intense raids in the Pichhulia forest of Chakrabandha based on secret information. Following this effective action by the police, the abducted youth was freed. Subsequently, the abducted youth, Munnavar Khan alias Tabbu Khan, was safely recovered from near Nakti Bridge of Imamganj Police Station in the Gaya district.
Incident Pre-Planned – Statement of the Rescued Youth
During questioning, the rescued youth revealed that the incident was pre-planned and involved several individuals. The vehicle used in the incident and some of the accused have been identified, and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
