RJD supremo Lalu Yadav addressed a voter rights यात्रा (Yatra) in Sasaram, Bihar, calling for the removal of the BJP. He urged unity among Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Mallikarjun Kharge to oust the BJP and strengthen democracy. Yadav referenced his signature song, suggesting a strong push to remove the opposition. Rahul Gandhi also addressed the gathering, raising concerns about alleged vote theft and the conduct of the Election Commission. Gandhi claimed the EC created new voters in Maharashtra, benefiting the BJP, and highlighted investigations in Karnataka. He criticized the EC’s actions and accused them of manipulating the electoral process. Tejashwi Yadav praised Rahul Gandhi and criticized the perceived exploitation of Bihar. The voter rights यात्रा, initiated to protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, involves various opposition leaders and will cover 1300 km over 16 days, engaging with people across more than 20 districts. Assembly elections are scheduled for October-November in the state.
