A shocking incident has left the Kakdwip area in distress after a first-year female law student was discovered deceased in a local lawyer’s chamber. The grim discovery was made on Thursday in the Pratapaditya Gram Panchayat area. The student, a resident of Gandhinagar, was reportedly a regular visitor to the lawyer’s office for academic practice.
Family members stated that the student left home as usual on Wednesday morning. Later that evening, they received the devastating news of her body being found hanging inside the lawyer’s chamber. Promptly notifying the authorities, the police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and have since sent it for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities reported the recovery of a bag containing a love letter at the site. The student’s relatives have lodged a formal complaint against the lawyer, alleging a close relationship that may have led to the tragic event. Based on this complaint, an unnatural death case has been registered. The lawyer is currently absconding, and the police have initiated a comprehensive search operation to apprehend him.
Senior officers confirmed that an investigation is in full swing, with a focus on establishing whether the death was a suicide or the result of foul play.
