Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has conveyed his deep sorrow and concern regarding the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. The incident involves the alleged killing of a newlywed man from Indore during his honeymoon in Meghalaya. The accused in the case is believed to be his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is suspected of hiring contract killers.
Speaking on the matter, CM Yadav described the event as a painful lesson for society. He emphasized the importance of thorough consideration and scrutiny when arranging marriages. He also cautioned about allowing young couples to travel long distances, suggesting careful thought should be given to such decisions. The CM expressed his personal anguish over the tragic outcome.
Earlier reports indicated that four individuals have been apprehended in connection with the murder. The suspects, identified as Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Raj Singh Kushwaha, and Anand, are currently in police custody. Authorities plan to transfer them to Shillong after completing transit remand procedures.
The Meghalaya Police previously brought Sonam Raghuvanshi, the prime suspect, to Patna, Bihar, after receiving a three-day transit remand. She was later found near a roadside eatery in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical examination before being handed over to the Meghalaya Police.
