Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. Patwari Sangh has opened a front to protest against the FIR and arrest of a Patwari in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The union has expressed its opposition to the arrest of Patwari by filing FIR without investigation and on the basis of allegations. Patwari Sangh has submitted a memorandum to the Collector demanding return of the FIR.
On January 15, an FIR was lodged against Patwari Rajendra Kunje at Charganwa police station. Patwari union has warned of mass holiday for 3 days in protest against the incident. Said- If the FIR against fellow Patwari is not cancelled, then there will be a work bandh strike. The Collector has instructed the SDM to investigate the matter. Said- If Patwari’s mistake is not found then clean chit will be given. The Collector also admitted that the police had filed the FIR without bringing it to the notice of higher officials. The police do not have the right to direct FIR and arrest the administrative officer in this manner. An FIR has been lodged against the Patwari in a land transfer case that took place several years ago.
