A 46-year-old farmer from Maharashtra’s Beed district, Suresh Jadhav, died by suicide by hanging himself outside a cooperative society office. The incident occurred after the office failed to return his fixed deposit amount. Jadhav had invested Rs 11.5 lakh in the cooperative society in 2020. His wife reported that he had been requesting the return of his money for two years to cover his children’s educational expenses. He had previously threatened suicide, and on Tuesday, he was expelled from the office without receiving his money. Police are investigating the case, and a case of abetment has been filed against the former president of the cooperative society.
