A 30-year-old woman was murdered by her husband in Sangli district, Maharashtra, on Thursday morning. The victim, identified as Shilwanti Pail, was struck on the head with a bamboo stick by her husband, Pintu Patil, during a heated argument. Following the attack, Patil fled the scene, taking their two children with him. The couple, residents of Hanumannagar in Sangli, had been experiencing marital discord, with Shilwanti having previously left their home to stay with her sister in Pune. Upon her return, an altercation led to the fatal assault. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
