A local court has handed down a life sentence to a man in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar for the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl. The court also imposed a fine of ₹90,500 on the convicted individual. The POCSO Court Special Judge Alka Bharti found Manveer guilty of the offenses. The incident occurred when the young girl was playing outside her home. Manveer abducted the girl, took her to his room, and committed the rape. He subsequently murdered her and fled the scene. The crime took place in the Mansurpur area. Separately, a 24-year-old woman from Tilak Nagar was allegedly gang-raped by multiple individuals, including another woman, in the Civil Lines area of North Delhi.
