Significant progress has been made in the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case. Sonam Raghuvanshi has been apprehended by the Gazipur police. Reports indicate that Sonam contacted her brother to inform him of her well-being. She was located approximately two hours ago in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The Indore police have also dispatched officers to Gazipur to facilitate her arrest. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma confirmed the breakthrough in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder investigation, commending the efforts of the state police. He revealed that three assailants have been arrested, and the operation continues to apprehend the remaining suspect. CM Sangma stated on X, “Within 7 days a major breakthrough has been achieved by the #meghalayapolice in the Raja murder case … 3 assailants who are from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested, female has surrendered and operation still on to catch 1 more assailant .. well done #meghalayapolice.” Meanwhile, DGP I Nongrang announced that four individuals, including Raja’s wife, have been arrested in connection with the murder in Meghalaya. The investigation suggests Sonam’s involvement in hiring killers to murder her husband during their honeymoon.
