Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to attend the significant Gaza Peace Summit. This high-level gathering is scheduled to take place in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh. While the Prime Minister will not be present in person, India will be represented at the summit by Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh, according to an announcement from the Ministry of External Affairs. The summit is notable for being co-chaired by former US President Donald Trump and President El-Sisi. It aims to bring together leaders from over 20 nations, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and French President Emmanuel Macron. The primary objective of the summit is to finalize an agreement intended to bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza and foster regional peace and stability. This initiative aligns with a broader vision for Middle East peace and conflict resolution efforts.
