Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant two-day state visit to Bhutan from November 11th to 12th. This trip is designed to deepen the already strong friendship and cooperation between India and Bhutan, continuing a long-standing tradition of high-level diplomatic engagement. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will have the honor of meeting with the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. A major highlight of the trip will be the joint inauguration of the 1,020 MW Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project, a testament to the collaborative spirit between the two governments. The Prime Minister will also participate in events marking the 70th birth anniversary of the Fourth King of Bhutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, and hold discussions with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will offer prayers to the sacred Piprahwa relics of Lord Buddha, which will be on display in Thimphu, and attend the Global Peace Prayer Festival.
