The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) reported minimal waterlogging across Delhi, according to Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal. Chahal inspected drainage pumping on Africa Avenue road and highlighted the successful efforts in preventing water accumulation. He stated that the NDMC received zero complaints of waterlogging in areas under its jurisdiction and attributed this achievement to teamwork. Additionally, Chahal inspected the rainwater harvesting system in Bharti Nagar, an area previously prone to flooding, emphasizing its role in controlling waterlogging. Pumps have been deployed to remove stagnant water from low-lying areas and divert it to the Lodhi Road drain. The NDMC has implemented multiple strategies to address waterlogging issues in Bharti Nagar, which saw water entering homes in the past. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also asserted that there was no waterlogging in the national capital despite heavy rainfall, citing the improvement at Minto Bridge as an example.
