NEET UG 2026 Question Leak Network Exposes Coaching Centre Links

The Delhi Rouse Avenue Court has denied bail to Manoj Shirure, a key accused in the NEET‑UG 2026 question paper breach. Special CBI Judge Ajay Gupta, after hearing both sides and reviewing recorded evidence, concluded that Shirure’s role was crucial in funneling chemistry questions to three students, one of whom was connected to a coaching centre proprietor.

The CBI has so far apprehended 13 individuals believed to form a clandestine network that procured the examination paper before the official date. The probe began after a written grievance from the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on May 12.

Investigators point to Pune‑based education consultant Manisha Vaghmare as a pivotal middle‑man, who arranged exclusive, high‑fee coaching sessions. Participants in these sessions were briefed on the leaked questions, which later appeared in the NEET‑UG 2026 exam.

Following the registration of the FIR, dedicated task forces carried out nationwide searches. The initial exam was cancelled due to the suspected breach, prompting the National Testing Agency to conduct a re‑exam on June 21.
