No fresh initiatives for farmers or inflation in Tamil Nadu's 2026‑27 budget, says Stalin

In his social‑media response, Stalin pointed out that the budget does not contain concrete steps to tackle the agrarian crisis or to curb the surge in prices. He criticized the administration for lacking a clear roadmap for long‑term development and for failing to convert electoral pledges into fiscal commitments.
The criticism was echoed by former deputy chief minister Udayanidhi Stalin, who said the government is merely repackaging existing DMK schemes under new titles rather than introducing genuine new initiatives.
