A five-year-old girl lost her life and two men were injured in Noida after a BMW collided with a Honda Activa scooter. The accident occurred near a hospital in Sector 30. According to police reports, Gul Mohammad, along with his relative Raja and Ayat, the five-year-old girl, were returning home from Child PGI Hospital around 12:20 AM on Sunday when the Haryana-registered BMW struck their scooter. The impact occurred directly in front of Gate Number 3 of the hospital. The child had been brought to the hospital due to a health issue.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Praveen Singh stated that Ayat died at the scene. Gul Mohammad and Raja sustained injuries and were receiving medical treatment. The driver of the BMW fled the scene, but authorities were able to locate the vehicle using its registration information. Two individuals, Yash Sharma (22, of Sector 37) and Abhishek Rawat (22, of Sector 70), were later apprehended. Police confirmed that Yash Sharma was driving the car at the time of the accident. A case has been registered at the Sector 20 police station under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to rash driving, endangering life, and causing death by negligence. Further investigation is ongoing.
