Official Procedure Required for Nani’s Attendance at RTC X Roads Screening, Says CM

Telangana’s chief minister, A. Revant Reddy, used his X account on Wednesday to outline the steps actor Nani must follow to join the “The Paradise” premiere at an RTC X‑Roads cinema hall. The CM thanked the actor for his regard of public safety and for backing a young local director, Srikanth Odela.

He asked Nani to forward a formal request to the police station overseeing the venue. The request will be examined by a dedicated team, which will then decide whether to grant entry under the prevailing security framework.

Nani’s original appeal highlighted his wish to share the moment with fans who have followed his career from a very early age. He argued that the essence of filmmaking lies in feeling the audience’s reaction in real time and promised full compliance with all safety guidelines.

The CM’s reminder arrives after the state intensified its oversight of film premieres following a deadly crush at the RTC X‑Roads theatre during the December 2024 showing of “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” The incident left one woman dead and her son severely injured, leading to a charge sheet against 23 individuals and a revision of the approval process for cinematic events.
