Following the recent resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar from the Vice President’s post due to health reasons, discussions have commenced regarding the selection of a new Vice President. In response, the opposition has initiated its preparations. Sources indicate that leaders from the INDIA bloc will convene next week to deliberate on the opposition’s candidate for the upcoming Vice Presidential election. The meeting of the INDIA bloc is anticipated to take place on August 18th and 19th. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has been entrusted with the responsibility of holding discussions with all the political parties. Earlier, a meeting was held on Tuesday involving Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and KC Venugopal, focusing on the Vice Presidential election.
