In Delhi, opposition MPs staged a show of strength, marching to the Election Commission to protest against alleged vote rigging and irregularities. Approximately 300 parliamentarians participated in the demonstration, which began with the singing of the national anthem. Police attempted to halt the march, leading to a sit-in by the protesting MPs who raised slogans against what they termed as ‘vote theft’ and the government. Several prominent leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Akhilesh Yadav, were briefly detained before being released. Following the protest, a dinner party was hosted at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, attended by numerous leaders from the INDIA alliance.
