Parents of Missing Gujarat Student Seek PM Modi’s Intervention

The family of Dhvanit Rajdeep, a medical student from Ahmedabad’s Virat Nagar area, is pleading for immediate government action after their son went missing in Georgia twelve days ago. Dhvanit, enrolled in the ninth semester at Caucasus International University, stopped communicating after May 14. His parents allege that he faced ongoing harassment at his rented accommodation, including threats to his life and forced financial transfers. When he attempted to move out, tensions reportedly increased, culminating in his confinement and the seizure of his phone. Dr. Mayur Kumar Rajdeep and his wife Dharmistha have contacted the Indian Embassy and university authorities, but efforts so far have yielded limited results. Dhvanit’s elder brother Mihir has joined the search on the ground in Georgia. The parents emphasize that their son was a dedicated student expected to return home in September after completing his degree. They are urging both central and state authorities to escalate diplomatic pressure on Georgian officials to locate Dhvanit and bring him home safely.
