Party leaders accuse three‑stage irregularities in pre‑SAR and enumeration

In a statement released on July 17, senior AAP leaders in Delhi outlined what they described as a three‑pronged scheme to sabotage the electoral participation of marginalized voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The first stage involved a sweeping pre‑SIR purge that eliminated millions of entries from the electoral roll.

The second stage, according to the party, saw the denial of enumeration forms to residents of slums, chawls and other informal settlements. Official records claim a 100 percent distribution rate, but on‑the‑ground verification revealed a stark contrast.

The third stage focuses on households that have recently been relocated after demolition drives or after receiving government‑allocated flats. Party representatives allege that Basic Level Officers (BLOs) are refusing to deliver the mandatory enumeration forms, thereby preventing these families from re‑entering the voter list.

Saurabh Bhardwaj warned that such layered irregularities could lead to a massive disenfranchisement of vulnerable sections, undermining the democratic fabric of the capital. He urged the Election Commission to investigate each stage independently and to take corrective action before the SIR proceeds further.
