Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed keys under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in Motihari, Bihar, as part of a Griha Pravesh ceremony. He handed over keys to 12,000 beneficiaries and released over Rs 160 crore to 40,000 beneficiaries. During his address, PM Modi highlighted the scale of the housing initiative, stating that more houses were provided to Bihar under the PMAY-G than the combined populations of Norway, New Zealand, and Singapore. He also contrasted the development funding received by Bihar during the UPA era with that of the NDA government, emphasizing the increased investment in the state over the last decade. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of Bihar’s progress for the overall development of the nation, highlighting the role of the youth in driving this growth.
