Modi highlighted the shared colonial past of the two countries, stating that their spirits have remained resilient. He also mentioned that the friendship between India and Ghana is special, akin to the sweetness of Ghana’s Sugar Loaf Pineapple. Modi also paid tribute to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, whose words continue to inspire. He also expressed his gratitude for receiving the national award, the Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana, from President John Mahama, considering it a great honor.
