At the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh 2025 in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled various youth-focused initiatives and honored 46 top students from Industrial Training Institutes. This event marked the fourth National Skill Convocation. Addressing the students, PM Modi congratulated them and highlighted the progress of India’s skill development sector. He announced the launch of two major education and skill development projects for young people across the country, including the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU), a centrally sponsored scheme with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University in Bihar, emphasizing the state’s commitment to industry-oriented courses and vocational education, while also highlighting Karpoori Thakur’s contributions. PM Modi underscored the government’s efforts to modernize Bihar’s educational institutions and praised the Bihar government’s Student Credit Card initiative, which provides interest-free education loans and increased student scholarships.
