Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Assam for the second day of his three-day tour. Following his visit to Manipur, where he inaugurated various development projects, the Prime Minister is now in Assam. He participated in a function commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of Bhupen Hazarika. A full day, September 14th, will be dedicated to Assam’s development, with projects valued at over Rs. 18,530 crore slated for inauguration or groundbreaking. The initial event will be in Darrang, including the foundation stone laying for a Medical College and Hospital and a Nursing College, along with the Guwahati Ring Road Project. The Assam Bioethanol Plant at Numaligarh Refinery Limited in Golaghat will also be inaugurated, a step towards clean energy. Furthermore, the foundation stone for the Polypropylene Plant at Numaligarh Refinery will be laid, aimed at bolstering the local economy and creating employment opportunities.
