During a discussion on the ‘Vision Document 2047’ in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Samajwadi Party MLA Pooja Pal expressed her gratitude towards Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The discussion, which was part of a 24-hour marathon session, saw Pal acknowledging the CM’s role in delivering justice, particularly highlighting the ‘zero tolerance’ policies. Pal, whose husband Raju Pal was murdered, stated that CM Yogi ensured justice for her and other women in Prayagraj. She noted that the CM’s policies led to the elimination of criminals like Atiq Ahmed, who was allegedly involved in her husband’s murder. Pal emphasized that the CM provided justice when no one else listened and she expressed that the people of the state now look towards the Chief Minister with trust. Her husband, Raju Pal, was killed just nine days after their marriage, with the murder attributed to electoral rivalry, as Raju Pal had defeated Atiq Ahmed’s brother in the 2004 elections.
