Following a reported incident of police using force against protestors, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has issued a stern warning to the Bihar government. The confrontation occurred during a protest in Patna when police allegedly used lathis, resulting in injury to a young supporter. Kishor has vowed to make it difficult for the government to operate across Bihar if their demands are unmet. Kishor is seeking a written assurance from the Chief Secretary regarding the resolution of pending issues raised by his party. He asserted that his party members would not back down until their demands are addressed. The protest took place as Jan Suraaj attempted to march towards the Bihar Assembly, where they were stopped by police barricades, leading to a brief altercation. Kishor has also criticized the government for overlooking the plight of numerous child laborers in the state. Police authorities stated that protestors were restricted from entering the area near the Assembly and that discussions were ongoing to address their concerns.
