In a shocking incident from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a property dealer stands accused of murdering his 17-year-old grand-nephew by dismembering his body. Police investigations reveal that the man, identified as Sharan Singh, was allegedly influenced by a tantric to resolve personal difficulties. Singh reportedly confessed to the crime, stating he disposed of the body parts in various locations after severing the head and torso. The arrest took place in the Kareli area. Singh’s actions are believed to stem from a series of tragedies, including the suicides of his two children in 2023 and 2024, and the death of his brother. Experiencing financial and personal setbacks, Singh sought guidance from an occultist. The tantric reportedly claimed that the grand-nephew, Piyush, was meant to die, and since he didn’t, Singh’s children were targeted instead. The tantric then advised Singh to kill someone of a similar age to his children to alleviate his problems. Piyush, a Class 11 student, was reported missing after leaving for school. A torso was discovered in a drain, and later, Piyush’s head was found, leading to the identification of the body. Witness testimony and CCTV footage linked Singh to the crime, leading to his arrest.
