In the aftermath of the bridge collapse over the Indrayani River in Pune, the district administration has declared financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for each family that lost a member in the tragedy. According to officials, a total of 55 individuals fell into the river. Rescue operations successfully saved 51 people, and 38 are currently receiving medical treatment. Authorities conducted an aerial survey to ensure no one remains unaccounted for. A probe team, including officers from various departments, has been formed to investigate the incident. A structural report on old bridges in the region has also been requested to prevent future incidents. The public has been urged to avoid visiting such areas during the monsoon season.
