During a voter rights journey in Bihar, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, a man’s motorcycle was stolen. The leaders organized a bike rally in Darbhanga as part of the ‘SIR’ (Voter List Revision) and anti-vote theft campaign. A security guard had taken the bike of an individual during the rally. However, the bike was stolen afterward. Subsequently, at the conclusion of the journey on September 1st, Rahul Gandhi presented the man with the keys to a new motorcycle to replace the stolen one. The voter rights rally witnessed high political fervor. Shubham Saurabh, who runs a hotel in Darbhanga, explained that security personnel had taken seven motorcycles parked at his premises for a 2-kilometer rally from Shahpur Chowk to Shobhan Chowk on August 27th. After the rally, Shubham’s motorcycle went missing. Distressed by the loss, he contacted party members for help, eventually learning he would receive a new motorcycle at the concluding rally in Patna. (The Congress shared a video of the incident on their YouTube channel.) Shubham was instructed to arrive in Patna by 7 AM. Rahul Gandhi then arrived, presenting him with the keys to the new motorcycle. The man, whose stolen bike was a Pulsar 220, expressed his gratitude to Rahul Gandhi, stating he was very thankful and delighted to receive the new bike from him on stage. The voter rights journey commenced on August 17th in Sasaram, Bihar, and covered several districts before concluding in Patna on September 1st. At the Patna conclusion, Rahul Gandhi made a significant announcement concerning vote theft, stating that they had dropped an ‘atom bomb’ in Mahadevpura and were now preparing to drop a ‘hydrogen bomb’.
