Recent discussions in political circles have revolved around the relationship between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Some reports suggested disagreements between the RSS and the BJP regarding the appointment of the BJP’s national president. Addressing these speculations, RSS leader Ram Madhav stated that the BJP and the RSS are part of the same ideological family and share no differences. He emphasized that both organizations operate in their respective fields of politics and social service. Madhav also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for acknowledging the RSS’s 100-year history during his Independence Day speech, noting that such reports often surface when no other issues are available, and are meant to create the impression of a rift. The BJP recently announced its new state presidents but the announcement of the national president is still pending, which some interpreted as a point of contention between the BJP and the RSS. Furthermore, comments made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat regarding the 75-year mark in politics also fueled speculation. However, the RSS has clarified that these reports are merely rumors. Madhav highlighted that PM Modi’s positive remarks on the RSS during his Independence Day address sent a positive message to party workers, acknowledging the organization’s contributions to the nation and recognizing the volunteers as a source of inspiration for all.
